Sofie Martinez is a research associate working on CLLARO’s outreach efforts with the aging Latine population and combating social isolation. With a background in researching issues facing Latine populations across the US, she supports the research team in understanding various environmental and personal factors that contribute to social isolation among Latine aging in Colorado. She graduated from the University of Richmond in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Leadership and minors in Women and Gender Studies and Latin American Studies and is currently on sabbatical from her master's program in Latin American studies. She has recently joined the CLLARO team and is incredibly excited to work with such passionate and talented individuals in the coming year. When she isn’t at work, you can find her trying to train her new rescue Lola, hiking outside (often when it's too cold out to reasonably go), or hanging out with friends and family.
