Mario M. Carrera accepted the role of President & CEO with the Colorado Latino Leadership, Advocacy & Research Organization (CLLARO) in March of 2022. Supporting a Purpose driven outlook: To enhance the life and economic well-being of Latinos. Prior to CLLARO, Mr. Carrera dedicated 35 years to highly skilled C-level executive leadership delivering growth and development of television, radio, and digital media operations including P&L General Management, Sales, Marketing, Strategic Plans, News, Content, Promotional and Event production responsibilities with direct oversight of over 1000 Division headcount.

Mr. Carrera’s private sector career most recent C-level assignment was as Chief Revenue Officer of Entravision Communications Corporation, responsible for a $250M+ sales portfolio of a Russell 3000 diversified global media and digital publicly traded company. Entravision platforms include the largest affiliate group of Univision Television Stations, O&O Radio stations, a Radio Network and Top Hispanic Digital Network reaching 105 markets that aggregate 94% of all US Latinos through owned and partner assets, including 55 television stations, 49 radio stations, multiple interactive owned and licensed platforms, and data analytics. Mr. Carrera led for seven years all of Entravision's sales, news, content, promotional and event production activities, including the execution of innovative client-centric integrated mar­keting solutions.

Mr. Carrera's entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic have allowed him to accumulate notable busi­ness skills and experience while accomplishing meaningful objectives in the communities he has served. Among recognition received, he has been named General Manager of the Year and the Best Radio Manager for a Large Market by Radio Ink Magazine. Silver Beaver Award from the Denver Area Council Boy Scouts of America. NFL and Denver Broncos Football Club Outstanding Hispanic Heritage Community Leadership. 14 Emmy's for Noticias Univision Colorado and KCEC-TV won the Best 2010 Public Service Award Campaign from the Colorado Broadcasters Association. AJC, American Jewish Committee, Colorado Lifetime Civic Achievement Award. The Hispanic Contractors of Colorado, Community Advocate of the Year. Mexico’s Ohtli Award to acknowledge contributions to Mexican-American communities in the United States.

Recent Board Director experience includes SCL HealthSystem, Member of the Finance and Investment Committees. Metropolitan State University of Denver, Member of the Governance & Nominating and Audit & Finance Committees. Denver Housing Authority, Member of CEO Search, Finance and Operations Committee. Denver Art Museum, Executive Committee, Co-Chair of Marketing& Strategic Alliance, and member of the Collections Committees. Colorado 2011 Reapportionment Commission, Chairman. Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court appointee.

Graduated from Harvard University, studied at El Colegio de Mexico and participated in pro­fessional development programs at the University of California Los Angeles and the North­western University, Kellogg School of Business. Mr. Carrera and his wife Irma live in Colorado.
