Karen Valenzuela

Karen Valenzuela is a graduate from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Affairs & Administration. During her time in college, she conducted research on diversifying higher education while interning with the United Nations Association, igniting her passion for educational equity and ensuring all students have the necessary resources to succeed. As the Latino Action Council Coordinator, she aims to expand her knowledge in the nonprofit sector and legislative work. Karen has been recognized by several organizations for her accomplishments, including Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, MSU Denver's President's and Dean’s List, The Provost's Honor Roll, and The National Political Science Honor Society of Pi Sigma Alpha. She served as the Vice-president of her local multicultural Greek organization chapter and as the Director of Standards on the National Board of Pi Lambda Chi Latina Sorority, Inc.
